Today was a totally non activity day and we both enjoyed doing lots of nothing while out on the villa’s porch watching the waves roll in on our stretch of beach. They’ve been pretty intense ever since we got here and today, while it’s a perfectly gorgeous day, was no exception.
And it dawned on me, as Saba appeared out of her shroud of cloudiness, this was the first time we’d seen her all week. She literally appeared out of the haze but barely so from our vantage point.
Stayed in and enjoyed both breakfast and lunch at home but we did finally drag our sorry buts out to go to dinner.
We set out with a pizza from Fat Tony’s in mind but somehow we zigged when we should have zagged and ended up at BarCode which was actually a good thing. Very rarely do I eat anything there beyond the fish sandwiches which are very good but their special board enticed us into ordering actual dinners which were delicious.
John had shrimp Creole served with lots of medium sized shrimp, veggies, rice and a side salad and I had their beef ragout - beef and veggies simmered in a wine sauce and served with mashed potatoes and a salad. Both of us might have almost licked our plates (not really but the meals were that good….) if we weren’t out in public. Both meals were excellent and plentiful and very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity and to top it all off, the server was a lovely young woman who’d only been working there for two weeks. Her service was warm and good. Dinner was very reasonably priced and they did NOT tack on a service charge.
And now we’re doing the typical old married couple thing - in for the night and trying to find something - anything? - on tv out of the 60+ stations we get here that we can agree on. Not happening so again, it’s off to lalaland.
Respectfully,
pat

While I don't think Bar Code's food is outstanding, it's decent and very well-priced. It's also quite convenient to both our locations. I find myself going there several times per trip. The advantage to being unmarried is that I don't have to get anyone's agreement to what I watch on TV. Thanks for another report.

Thanks for the report. I often don't want to leave BSV. You have everything you need, right there. Enjoy!
