Our meals have all been casual as most of them are. We arrived Sunday which was rainy so we ate at the resorts sport restaurant Replay. I had Philly cheesesteak and my wife had bacon cheeseburger both were ok. Monday we ate at Mark’s Barbara had oxtail stew which she really liked. I had the ribs with scalloped potatoes and salad which to me is always good.Today we ate at Beirut,Barbara had Greek salad with chicken which was good and took home enough for her lunch tomorrow. I had the lamb and beef platter with Greek salad and scalloped potatoes very good. I always finish my meal so no leftovers for me. Mark’s and Beirut are some of our favorites for several years
I enjoy snorkeling and go everyday weather permitting. Attached are some pictures taken today, note one of the Angel pictures is a gray Angel something I don’t usually see in SXM.

If you enjoy snorkeling and photography you might want to take up scuba. The marine life would knock your socks off. I've logged close to 300 dives in St Maarten and each dive presented something new photo worthy.

Most were taken at Simpson Bay Resort out from the end of rocks and some around the rocks. I took a couple around the rocks and heading into the channel by the Royal Palm. The squid and gray Angel were taken at a Royal Palm.

At 75 years of age I am not interested in scuba did it several times years ago, I like to just go in from the beach and go out for a couple hours a day, Today I dove down 4 or 5 times about 15 feet and I could feel the pressure. A few years ago I would dive down 20 or more times.
Then one day I got a nose bleed and ever since I limit my dives.

Great pics! I can't wait to snorkel around the wrecks near the Divi for the first time. I'll add the Royal Palm area to my list as well. Scuba is on my bucket list. I've gotta make it happen in 2024. I'm hoping at 55 it's not too late to try.

I have to agree, can't go wrong with Mark's! And their scalloped potatoes are some of the best!

I don't recognize the first picture in this set. What is it? Or are they, I guess?

Bluesfan--was that in regard to my question? I don't remember seeing those fish before at all.

Carol, I am sure they are squid I have seen them on many of my snorkels. I have only seen one cuddle fish as they look somewhat like an octopus. I attempted to get it move from ocean floor and it changed color to a neon green and shot off under rocks.

On 2nd look they are squid. Surprising to see only 4. Usually in larger schools. Fascinating.
