We're heading down on the 8th of November and I'm curious how busy things are at the start of the season? I'm mostly wondering about the ease of getting fcfs mooring balls in places such as Great Harbor? Anyone else going to be in the BVI the second week of November?

Sue,
We're planning on sailing both BVI and St John. Any idea where and when you'll be?

We pick up the boat on November 9 and then plan to do the USVI, November 10-13. Then back to the BVI and doing the counter clockwise itinerary around the BVI until November 23. Will you be on your boat?

We are headed down next week (11/4) and was wondering the same thing. Looks like a pattern shift may finally be apparent in the weather - fingers crossed.

Anegada gets crazy busy for Lobster Festival right after Thanksgiving -- Friday-Saturday-Sunday (24th-25th-26th). Sounds like you'll just be finished by then.

We arrive in BVI on the 8th and plan on heading over to St John on the 9th. Most likely we will head into Maho Bay and check in with Roam than slowly sail around to the south side. Lots of great hiking. Plus, with my "Senior National Park Pass" mooring balls are only $13. We will be on Stargazer, flying an Ohio State University flag.

Hopefully the weather finally shifts for all of you arriving soon. It has been raining since Friday. So heavy last night that White Bay was muddy from runoff this morning. Looks like it may continue for a few more days. Longest stretch of bad weather we have ever experienced here.

We went down 2nd week of Nov 2022 and it was not crowded. We bought the Boaty Ball program but never really needed it and got into restaurants w/o reservations. I normally don't go that time of year but I was pleasantly ssurprised.

Big rain last night. Hope it starts drying out soon. The mozzies are out in force.

We were there 10/24-11/1 and it rained 4 of the 7 days. More like monsoon. The mosquitos were ridiculous. We only ate ashore once they were so bad. First time we have ever dealt with swarms of them.

Houses with open living space seem like a good idea until you're invaded by mosquitos, rats, cats and feral goats.

I hope you’re having a great time Jagmansr! Returned from an 8 day bareboat out of Sunsail yesterday and the only bays that were close to busy was Norman our first night and Cooper our last. Reasonable number of boats in the NS and CGB. Jost was busy but because of day trippers from St Thomas.
