I posted a few pictures at
http://groups.msn.com/sxmphotos2/november2004.msnw . You'll see that the cleared area across from the entrance to Cupecoy is not a good sign. Construction has begun and concrete has been poured for something, but I don't know what.
This year was the worse I've seen for traffic tie-ups in Simpson Bay from 4 - 6 pm. It's absolutely awful.
There's a new restaurnat behind Tutta Pastas called Jimbos. It's an upscale TexMex restaurant that has been designed beautiful. Very tropical atmosphere. Great hamburgers too.
Good news this year regarding the departure fee. It's posted over the window that if you have an AA ticket, you do not pay the fee. Last year was so confusing with some people being charged and some not. I brought my boarding pass over to the window thinking I still had to get one of the cards (for free this time) but you don't do that either. Your AA boarding pass is all you need.
It cost $29 to fill up the car this year, not really that much more than last year, in comparison to back home.
That's about all I can think of at the moment. Flew home through Miami last night. Hurried from customs to catch the flight to JFK, only to wait on the plane 2 hours before taking off. Seems they had us all board with the lock to the cargo unable to open. They hadn't even unloaded the previous flight's luggage!! Finally got into JFK at midnight and home to Kingston,NY at 2:30 AM!! Til next year!
