We are going to be at the Hyatt Baha Mar for about a week early Feb 2024. We will have 3 to 5 nights to spend besides that stay and would like to try some other island. We are leaning towards Exuma, but looking for suggestions. We don't want a break the bank place, ideally in the $200 to $300 range unless there is some place that is special.

Two adults, 60 and pretty easy going. Don't care to go fishing. Like casual bars and restaurants. Sit on beach, prefer beach way over pools and you know we will get enough pool at Baha Mar.

Thank you in advance.
Todd

We are now leaning towards Pineapple Fields on Eluthera.

Todd--I don't have any specific recommendations for you. But I would remind you that the weather in the Bahamas in February MAY not be as warm as you would like. We have been in the Bahamas on cruises several times during the winter when the highs were only in the 70s.

I was in Baker’s Bay last February. Nice resort not sure on rentals. To Carols point, 2 nice days one chilly and windy.

I thank you both, as for weather it still likely will be better that the Pacific NW. We have air booked and our final 4 nights booked, we were going to do more at Baha Mar but thought that is enough for a large resort. We will have a night near Nassau that we will spend near the airport since we land at 7:30pm. Then heading to another island for 6 nights, have a place picked out but have not booked yet. Ideal is having good internet, peaceful beach and close to a bar or two.

We’ve only stayed on New Providence, two weeks next to Baha Mar, and had planned to spend 3 nights on Eleuthera but never made it there. But we had looked at Pineapple Fields based on feedback on the TA forum. Exuma would be our choice for a more active water experience, but Eleuthera offers exactly what you described…
