Hi all,

Looking forward to returning after a few years away. Will be renting in Orient Village in January. Any new updates on restaurants in Orient Village, Orient Beach or Grand Case? Thank you for any insight!

If your visit was before the hurricane big changes. So in order to give a better response when did you last visit?

Grand Case- Le Bistronome (near Le Pressoir) & Les Oliviers (was Piazza Pascal). Both newer restaurants and both excellent and worth a visit . Bistrot Caraibes now open 7 nights a week. Used to be closed on Saturday nights.

John--yes, as far as the restaurants in Orient Village, many, if not most, have changed over from pre-Irma days. Many of the restaurants on the beach have moved locations since Irma also. Usually same name, but different location.

We eat out just about every night for the 10 days we usually spend in SXM (staying in Orient area). And we find it hard to choose among the many options! Since the Village has gotten so many great restaurants, we usually go most often to restaurants there since we're staying close by. But! Don't miss the fab restaurants in Grand Case!! Any more, we cab it to go the G.C. since we don't like driving at night, but when we were younger, we would drive to G.C. and park in one of the lighted lots (the fee is often comped by the restaurants). One discovery we made last October is Les Galets. It's located across from the gates into Orient Bay. Wonderful gourmet multi-course French food in a beautiful area.
