Yeah, it can't hurt, to increase patrols as high season approaches, but they surely can't keep up with the hoodlums on scooters.

I think it is a great idea and has a definite deterrent factor. Good for public relations with residents and the visiting public. In the event of a fleeing felon, they can radio for police car backup.
