We go to SXM every December. This year we decided to add an additional week, next week (August 12-19)
We thought it would be a quiet week but reading the comments on this board, we may be wrong.
Can anyone tell us what we can expect next week in terms of weather, crowds(the are only 2 cruise ships the entire week), car traffic and restaurants being busy or closed.
We are staying at LaVista. Our favorite restaurants include Le Taitu, Palms, Taverna Vesna and our splurge Bistro Caribe
Any advice is appreciated

Weather will be warmer than December and could be darn hot, depending on how much wind there is. Basically no crowds in August. Enjoy!

It's hot but will get hotter, luckily most days there is a bit of a breeze but that will stop soon. We've had occasional showers which makes everyone happy. Heavy Saraha Dust is hiding all the out islands at the moment.
