All,
I rented a bareboat CAT - Excess 12 - 4 cabin in Croatia. It was presented to me through the broker that it had AC. It does have AC only in the Salon. It is a 40' CAT. It is the only one left in Dubrovnik to our knowledge. I am looking for someone with specific experience with salon AC without cabin AC. Our thought - can we run the salon AC and leave the cabin doors open all the time? We would really like to make this work and I know there are a lot of variables, but would love somoene's direct experience?
Thank you

I have sailed Croatia three times, June, July and September and none of the sailboats we rented had air conditioning and this never caused us a problem. Use windscopes.

My experience is with Lagoon 46 in BVI. 4 cabins each with own AC as well as AC in each cabin. I doubt if salon AC alone will cool cabins.
Windscoops and open hatches assuming no nighttime showers. In BVI, the frequency of night time showers makes nighttime AC preferable for me. YMMV

Just the salon will de-humidify and provide some level of cooling. we just rented a 42 lagoon. will the cabins be so cold you need a blanket? not by any stretch of the imagination. but putting the cabin fans on was more than enough. it was VERY hot last two weeks, 90+.
