We’re heading down this Saturday and staying in the Orient Beach area. We’re planning our budget for the week and intend to rent chairs and purchase beverages and food at different locations through our time there. Are there any locations that wave a charge for chairs and umbrellas if you eat and drink there during your time on the beach? We’ll be logistically close to Bikini but like the idea of trying out the different locations up and down the beach. Any favorites to recommend? So looking forward to our trip.

Our favorites on Orient are La Playa and Coco. Neither waive the chair fee if you eat and drink there, but the service on the beach and the food and drink in the restaurants are excellent. KKO is another good option. To be honest, we haven't been to Bikini in several years, as we weren't happy with how we were treated the last time we were there.

We love Bikini (were there twice last year). The chairs are super cushy with thick pads. They do have a small charge for chairs and umbrellas but they are pretty generous with umbrellas if you need more than one and the food is very very good plus we enjoyed the wine selections. Service could be considered slow by US standards but we were in no hurry as we were staying about 5 minutes walk away and had all day.

My current two favorites for food on Orient are Le String and Orange Fever. Orange Fever has more of an American tilt to it's menu, Le String, more French. We go just for lunch, and don't use chairs. However, as I understand it, Orange Fever has free chairs in off season. Don't know about Le String.

Orange Fever charges $5 per chair. Nothing extra for umbrella. Nice padded chairs too. Was just there last week.

Le String does not charge if you eat and drink there. They are also the best people overall on the entire beach. The chef at LaString, also won the ''top chef'' on the island award last year. Great food....Great people...Great drinks.

My comments about service are never about timing, and always about attitude. We choose to spend our time, and money, where we're made to feel welcome.

Good. I always believe in giving my custom to those who treat me right.

Apologies if you thought my reply was in anyway related to your earlier response to the OP's question (I had not even read it to be honest). I was just relating our thoughts on Bikini as the OP mentioned their accommodations are very near that beach club.
