During our evening walk we swung by the entrance to the old Peli Deli parking lot. After asking who can park there to the security guard with zero personality that was playing a game on his phone and resented being disturbed it was explained that the Deli was part of the resort and for walk in only. Lot is for Casino Valet parking only.

I think we encountered the same personable gentleman back in March when attempting to go to Red Piano. Sorry, not playing that game. Done!

Is the Shipwreck Shop also part of the resort? Pretty sure it, and Red Piano, are not.

I'm trying to remember, didn't they say after Irma, when they took down those couple of buildings, that the ultimate plan was to increase the size of the casino, or do something else there? Maybe that's what's going on, phasing out Peli Deli, Red Piano and the Shipwreck Shop, so they can build something there?

I'm not sure on that. Depends on who you ask. On this island they usually come up with some BS hoping you'll believe what comes out of their mouth. But in this case the lot is for Casino valet parking only.

We have not been able to access Peli Deli from where we stay as the parking lot was inaccessible.

This arrangement can't be good for PD's business.

Wish we could still park and shop there.

Unless you're staying anyplace in walking distance like La Vista, Flamingo, Simpson Bay Resort or Atrium there really isn't any reason to need to go to the Peli Deli. Plenty of more reasonably priced places to go.

Back in the day, they were the only ones with half and half for our coffee! LOL
Sweet milk is good too! Yum
