Hey All, Just got back from our last visit to the BVI in January with the wife and kids, working on planning another trip but this time with 8 of my favorite dudes. Wondering if anyone has any experience with the Sun Loft 47? Seems quite suited to a group like the one we will have and an incredible price. Anyone have any experience chartering this vessel? https://navigare-yachting.com/en/ya...ea-nanny-cay-marina-tortola/2873/all/all Thanks, Keith

Is that the hybrid between monohull and catamaran? Beam of 15 feet vs 26 feet for catamarans in the 45-50 ft range.
So is the incredible price being compared to catamarans or monohulls?
The galley on deck?
I have never been on board but interested to hear from those who have.

Its a very unique boat. Curious if anyone has been aboard or chartered one.
Thanks,
Keith

Must say it looks and sound interesting..also love to hear from someone who's done a"test drive". Looks like there re also some upgrades you can order that make it sail faster..

Never sailed one, but the concept looks interesting. The kitchen is my main area of concern. It looks like (hard to tell in photos and videos) that there's only one burner. However, more importantly, it looks like you can't shield yourself from the sun. If there are shades available to cover the "Bimini" windows then it might work. It looks hot - I assume the AC does not cool the kitchen area. The other minor issue is it sails like a mono. My wife doesn't like the heeling

Thats why Im interested in it. We want the heel. Sailing the cats just isnt the same.
Immediately aft of the single pot burner is a propane grill sized at least as big as the gnarly ones found on charter yachts.
I think we will give it a shot. Worst case scenario is we have a great time in da BVI. The price to sail ability ratio is off the charts. Ill report back this fall.
Appreciate the input!

Bumping this again. We have it reserved in November. But wondering if anyone else has chartered or sailed on one.
Thanks.

Eight guys?? No way! You'll be on top of each other above and/or below deck.
