Spent the middle part of the day at Maho Beach in front of Tortuga. If you eat lunch there the chairs and umbrella are free. The waves were pretty rough and very few people were getting into the water. Many of those that did took a pretty good tumble. Looked like fun to me but couldn't convince the wife to give it a try. Relaxing now at the pool with Air France just lifting off and giving us a great show. Never gets old.

Looks like a nice amount of beach there, but for sure, a day to stay out of the water! Enjoy!

And the ocean on the other side was calm. First trip to Club O in ages and the water was flat, clear and warm!

I didn't know that Tortuga rented chairs???? We've had breakfast there, nice but island time. But could be something to put on "the list" ! That view is amazing!!! Thanks for sharing!

Great shots CaribLee...Especially the last one. Is Tortuga the restaurant/bar at The Royal Islander by the pool?

I sure hope so CaribLee. All the reviews I have read are positive. We have stayed at Royal Palm and Beachside Villas. Decided to try somewhere new.

We have always enjoyed the Tortuga, usually for breakfast but all has been good.
The only thing we found to be at all troublesome about staying at RI was the inconvenient parking across the street. But at least there was parking…….
Beside that we thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks there. 🙂🙂

Respectfully,

pat
