That probably has more to do with interior upfit needed to route passengers through customs and immigration than it does with jet bridge functionality.

Still makes no sense to me, except that I guess that means that I will only have to climb DOWN stairs and not UP them. But it didn't give any better estimate of time than I guess "sometime this year" for use for departing passengers.
