My wife and I are frequent visitors to the CO section of Orient Beach in SXM. She has come to love our time there, and we spend most of our SXM time on that beach. We are planning a trip to Florida and are considering spending a few days at a CO resort there. My wife loves Orient because of the sense of anonymity it affords her. She has a bit of fear of the unknown, but I am convinced that once she tries it, she will enjoy it just as much as she does Orient. We are friendly folk who enjoy interacting with others around us when we are at Orient, but we usually find chairs away from the main crown and enjoy keeping to ourselves. My wife would not like to feel pressured into a day of socializing.

So, of the various resorts in central Florida, where would she be the most comfortable? Which would be the easiest for her to acclimate to and is not a “lifestyle” kind of place? We would just be day visitors without looking to rent overnight accommodations.

Read ChuckG’s posts on Blind Creek. There are lots of places to stay within a couple miles and the beach is easily accessible and very nice. The day we went it was a little rough surf wise. If the wife doesn’t like it you still have options

Travel Hat--that's probably a good suggestion, although the original poster was asking about resorts. And it's quite a ways from the resorts. I wonder if the original poster already has someplace lined up to stay? It's been a while since we have been to any of the resorts, since we can be nude in our backyard anytime we want. For the criteria, I would say to avoid Caliente. Probably Cypress Cove is the best fit. I know that is what our dear friend Bill S would have recommended. Rest in peace, Bill.

Thanks Carol. We are planning to spend a couple of weeks visiting friends in the Orlando/Tampa areas and will be bouncing around between hotels. Just wondering at which resort my wife would be most comfortable. We really do not want to drag beach chairs, umbrellas, and a cooler around with us. Given our history, I am confident that after the first 15 minutes, she will feel at ease at many of the resorts. I just need a few reports to show to her to convince her she will enjoy it as much as she does Orient in SXM.

OK, thanks for the additional info. Blind Creek is going to be at least a couple of hours away. You might pencil it in, when you're towards Orlando proper. Hopefully someone else will chip in their thoughts here.

Definitely you should try Cypress Cove! Cypress Cove The website includes an intro video and lots of photos of the place that should be enough enticement. See the page for first time visitors and the coupon there for half off on day visit or 3rd day free for stays in one of the
nice villa room. coupon They have two nice pools (one quiet, one with music and pool bar) for socializing OR a quiet lake beach for easing your way into it. I would not be surprised if, after visiting there you will decide to stay a couple nights. By the way, Pickelball is huge at the Cove if you are interested and/or nekkid golf! Check out this promotional video for good looks at the place: Cove video

And I agree that Blind Creek Beach link would be a great add-on to a resort visit, although it's 2.5 hr from the Cove. Sunnier Palms is a much smaller resort located just a half hour from Blind Creek https://www.sunnier.com/. When you are over in the Tampa area you might like Lake Como too Lake Como

Another vote for Cypress Cove. We too enjoyed several trips in the past to Club O. My wife was always a nude in St. Martin only, and wouldn't consider anything in the states. I talked her into a trip last August to Cypress Cove and we both had a great time. The day after we returned home, she joined me for the first time at my non-landed club gathering. She has since joined. We were there from a Monday to Friday, and it was pretty low-key, but we could see the numbers increasing by Thursday. We were told by the regulars that weekends are packed, so I would suggest you arrive early in the week, and allow her to acclimate to the crowd as it grows each day.

We haven't been there yet, but Lake Como Resort looks nice. We're in Tampa Bay area and it's about 45 minutes NE of us.

I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

We live near Kissimmee and are members at Cypress Cove and recommend highly. We also frequent Blind Creek several times a month and once in your chairs really feels as good as Orient Beach view and people wise. Much better than Haulover in all ways unless you live close to there

Let me throw in another vote for CC. I've been there several times, staying in a villa. Was there three weeks ago.

One advantage of CC is the fact that they have two different pools (both heated):
One pool is the "social" pool. They have karaoke, DJs and even live music some afternoons and evenings. And that's where the bar is as well. You can chat with new friends or keep to yourself. Here is a link to the May activities calendar.

The second pool is the "quiet" pool. No music. No activities. No kids.

And they're OK if you bring a cooler to either pool (BYOB). Some places frown on that.

Finally, for the past several years, CC has included coupons for discounted stays in annual AANR renewal mailings. Check that mailbox!

Here is a good video, Cove video narrated in German but with subtitles- unusual in that it's uncensored! Gotta love those Germans!
