Sunday morning I had my quiche from La Suchriere. For dinner we ordered pizza and Salad from Juliette’s Very good and so convenient.

The rest of the week was pretty quiet. Most every day involved breakfast on the balcony of fresh baguettes and croissants from La Suchriere, Reading by the pool, Lunch on the balcony, visits to the gym… Most dinners we cooked in.

On Tuesday we did go to Roma at Oasis again for dinner. Lovely setting being outside under a huge umbrella. As indoors is still open it's not air conditioned so I'm not sure we'd like being indoors. Wonderful food! The focaccia was fresh out of the oven and with the olive oil, yummy! We ordered the seared scallops in puff pastry as our appetizer. It came with a nice mushroom sauce and was excellent. John had pappardelle bolognaise with Veal meatballs and I had Osso Bucco for our entrées. Wonderful!
The only caveat is don't try to vale park at the casino. Terrible experience.

On Thursday we had a hankering for burgers so dinner was at Bar Code. Unfortunately they were out of our favorite appetizer, Brie Fritters. The burgers more than made up for it. Huge!!! With fried onions and smoked gouda they were awesome!!

Five weeks seems like a long time but it sure went fast. Got to the airport about 10:30 Sunday morning. Check-in and going through security was a breeze. The departure area didn’t seem as busy as prior years. It was sure nice to see all the jet bridges laying there waiting to be installed. Till next year…

Why was the Valet Parking a bad experience as we have used it before without any trouble. Those scallops looked delish.

Thanks for taking us along.

We valet parked at the casino several times. Told them we were going to eat and then gamble, no problems.

We went to Roma twice. The first time the Valet person asked where we were going. We Said Rome and he said Valet was for Casino only He refused to take the car until we committed to going to the casino. We went inside for about 15 minutes and then snuk out to go tot thee restaurant. The 2nd time we pulled up and waited. There was no Valet person around. The security guard finally took our keys and parked the car at the end of the driveway behind some pylons. While we were eating our appetizer a different security guard came over waiving out key and hollering that we could not park there and demanding that we move the car. A Valet guy was with him and was hollering that we had to use him. Finally the Valet guy took the keys and moved to car. Needless to say that spoiled our whole experience.

Agree, not a good situation. Perhaps Marco needs to address the situation, if he has any input.

Thanks for all your reports during your stay in paradise. The food pics are delicious. We haven't been to Roma's yet but will and I can't believe we've been here for a week and a half and haven't stopped at
La Sucriere.

Not good, that's why we always park in the garage over the road

Leagle--wow, that is horrible! That makes no sense.

The "underground" garage on the left just before entering the golf course.

Well, yes, I know there is a garage there, but the original poster was talking about parking at Simpson Bay Resort. That's why I was confused from uksimon's post. I couldn't figure out what that had to do with parking at SBR.

I think he was talking about valet parking at the casino next to Roma at Oasis in Maho.

Leagle49 was talking abount going to Roma for dinner, which is where Cheries used to be, next door to the casino in Maho, that's why I mentioned the garage across the street

UKsimon--sorry! yes, you are correct. I wasn't reading closely and 'assumed' that he was talking about SBR. You know what happens when you 'assume'.
