Looking to avoid LAX on the return and we are near Burbank Airport. Thinking of a quick overnight stay at SJU getting there- with a quick stop in Houston, and on the return maybe use Southwest or even Spirit and either to Lax or Burbank with whoever has the best schedule- Dallas and Austin come into play in trying to make a schedule without too early in morning both ways. Might include a overnight at DFW or Austin . We used to go down from DC area and it was easy to get to VG with Air Sunshine- 12 times. We are still here to talk about it but getting up in our years. Would appreciate any advise- not liking a northern route and then across East to West.

You should be able to see all your options with a little time on the internet.
Just remember, travel agents don't charge you money, they get paid by the carriers who benefit from their work. Don't feel enjoined from asking for help. It can be a relationship that grows to bail you out of a dumpster fire.
