Breakfast on deck delivered to room. Leaving the quiet Princess Heights for the busy Royal Palm. Got checked in around 1:30pm since checkout at the heights is 12:00 pm. Did some shopping at Garden Market since it is close but expensive. Chilled until 3 went to an owners appreciation gathering which was somewhat weird. They have distinct classes now teal bands and white bands. We are the higher caste -teal band caste-since we are owners, the lower caste white bands have to wait until the higher caste get their food and drink at the appreciation gathering. Furthermore, the white bands cannot participate in the raffle. Only us privileged people can get a raffle ticket. I won a 15 minutes message at the new spa in Royal Palm - the Garra Beauty Lounge. I think it is Dutch -owned since there are many with that name in Holland. Anyhow it is weird and they should have had the gathering in more private space for owners -the great teal people.
Had Gin and tonic on patio. Off to BBB for a burger and a Carib. It was packed. The trip is weird in general, theBeaches are not packed but the restaurants are. In 16 years I have made very few reservations. Now we have to make them for any restaurant good, bad, small or large.

I agree, that 'owners' gathering sounds weird. Not such how much of a massage one can get in 15 minutes. Maybe just a ruse to try to get you to pay more for a real massage?? Kind of surprised you were able to actually get checked in at 1:30, as that seems early for a timeshare, although very good for you!

Are those bands to be worn during your entire stay or was it just for that gathering.

Most people do not wear them at pool and beach at RP. They need to do a better job of mixing owners and renters at events. It seems very weird.

Thanks. I like the idea of the bands especially around the pool to help police that only owners and guests are allowed on property. I've been lobbying for that at Flamingo. Will only work if enforced.
