HI, will be staying in Orient Village end of March for 3 wks. First trip back since 2019 and 9th trip to SXM.
Interested in the beach bars where the new pre-Irma cabarets were. There used to be 8? with Charlies in the middle. Would like to know which bars are now open.
Counting from where Pedro’s used to be: I think the list is - Pirates Hideout, Chez Leandra’s, Orange Fever, Sun Beach Aloha and Le String
Is that correct, did I miss any? Any reviews welcome.
How about bathrooms?
Side question – Le Macaron which was beside Yellow Sub – did it reopen? liked their rotisserie chicken – is that still an option
Thanks

Currently at KKO it’s opposite the open area and Coco is on the other side. Love it here. Bit pricey. You pay for chairs. Great bathrooms and showers. Comfy chairs and food fantastic. Spaced out a little
More than other places. We spend the day here and don’t go out for dinner that night!!!

Coco Beach is on the other side of the open area from KKO. It's our favorite on Orient, but definitely not an inexpensive day. You pay for the very comfortable beach chairs, which include a towel and bottle of water in an ice bucket. The food is excellent, as is the service.

Both LaPlaya and Kontiki have good beachfronts, comfortable chairs. Pretty restaurant area and food. Both have good bathrooms.
La Playa has great sushi and sashimi.

We had a nice lunch at Pirates Hideout in January. Good food and friendly service. Nice restrooms as well. We had chairs down the beach but walked the beach and stopped for lunch. We tried Le String first but got told reservations were needed.

You will like the new Yellow Sub, the Rotisserie Chicken place is not there anymore.

What day of the week did Le String require reservations?

Perch Lite has fantastic ribs, if you don't mind seeing some fatback and rump roast while you dine.

It was a weekday day, but don't remember which one. (Whatever day Chez Leandra is closed.) We'd just strolled down the beach, looking for somewhere to eat lunch and walked up to their front door. There were a few empty tables so we asked the waitress near the door if we could sit at one of those tables and were told we needed reservations…in a tone that implied we should know that! It was pretty busy but I guess we'd never needed a reservation at any of the other Orient places in all the times we've visited, so was surprised.
