I saw mention - on this board - a couple weeks ago of company running this route. Can someone remind me of the company name?

Thx in advance, Slug

Are you thinking of Aquatic Rentals? It's not a water taxi, it's a ferry service out of Red Hook and goes to both West End and Road Town. We took it a few weeks ago and it was great!

Thank you both for the info.

Swifty, that is precisely the name I was looking for. My mistake in the subject line, as I was indeed looking for Ferry Service name and not Water Taxi.

Swifty, did you use AR to West End or RT? And if to West End, in your estimation, would you say clearing C&I is quicker than in Road Town?

The ferry we took didn't stop at West End so we went directly to RT. But C&I didn't take long because there weren't as many passengers on Aquatic as on some of the larger ferries.

We took this route with Chillout Charters. They handled clearing us in at West End and then dropped us off at The Moorings. Not the cheapest method by far, but very convenient. We are using them again in March.

Thanks again Swifty. I'm sure the same could be said for W/E as well. Looks like they are the same rate whether W/E or RT, which is interesting. So if C&I isn't likely to be as busy as with the other ferries, probably makes sense to go right to RT.

Hi, we used Dolphin Water Taxi January 21. https://www.dolphinshuttle.com/tommarrowws-cms/water-taxi-usvi-to-bvi-booking-form.html

We were handed cold Caribes at the airport, put in a taxi, and driven over to Red Hook. High speed run to Customs at West End. We did not have to get off the boat. Cleared Customs is about 15 minutes for the six folks on the water taxi. Dropped at the Moorings dock.

Let me count the ways this is awesome: 1) No taxi from airport to ferry dock; 2) no waiting in line to buy ferry tickets; 3) no paying for luggage on ferry; 4) no waiting in line to board ferry; 5) no mad rush for the Customs counter, with another hour in line; 6) no hailing another taxi to go from Road Town Customs to Moorings.

Was it worth the price? Heck yes! Our group was standing on the Moorings dock about three hours after we deplaned. Instead of the usual tiring schlep from STT to Moorings base, this was convenient, time saving, and stress free. Try it! Like air conditioning on a boat- once you try it, you'll never go back!

Best wishes for a fun cruise!

Dolphin has cancelled several trips day of service for us. We absolutely will not use them. Island Time is our go to.
