Went to S&P for the first time last evening. When we entered the dining room the noise level was truly overwhelming. We could barely hear our selves think. If you have any hearing issues I do not recommend you go to this restaurant. Even though neither of us are hearing impaired, the noise was so impossible. My husband & I literally had to shout at each other in order to be heard. Other times we had to speak quite loudly. We found it very annoying. The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely & overlooks the harbor where huge yachts are parked. Having said all that the food was delicious, the people who worked in the restaurant were very nice as well as our server even though we had to wait 1 1/2 hours for our main courses. We did receive our drinks & bread not too long after we were seated & also caesar salads. Would definitely not return to this restaurant.

And the "hit or miss" with Sale & Pepe continues. My last visit was a pleasant surprise after a not so pleasing previous visit.

Might want to pass on the comments about service and training the staff. Good food doesn't complete the experience without good service.

I gave up on them about 18 months ago after sitting in rain INSIDE the restaurant (the owners didn't care), and receiving bad meals on two successive visits after that. Also the screaming by the owners at the staff and at each other was over the top. Will not return.

This is one of those restaurants that could be really good!! But from the front of the house to the back of the house it's so poorly managed!!! You could NOT pay me enough to waste my time there. AND the MONEY$$$!!! There so many far far far better places to dine. Where management knows what they are doing, staff is far better!!! Last time we were there our waiter was looking to pick a fight with us over that he forgot to put our main course order in that I had to track him down having a cigarette in the kitchen!!! Two top picks(IMHO) for fine dinning are Sublime and the new Bamboo house!! Reservations a must and I would as we did call ahead for the shuttle to the restaurant at Bamboo!!

We have eaten there twice, both times just ok. I can understand staff issues as it seems the entire Island needs more and properly trained staff. And real experienced Managers are few and far between on SXM Even in the USA some restaurants services still short staffed. If I had to pick one I would rather have good food even if the service was slow. Yes in that enclosed dining room it can get loud, we try to find a place on the water and more open air dining room.

So much pay to play comments on these sxm forums. Not necessarily this one. Some are sincere opinions some obviously self serving. Maybe these moderators should not be allowed to comment positive or negative comments about businesses as I noticed a lot of good places in my opinion getting hit jobs if they don’t advertise or some other issues like a competitor or friend. IMO !

Currently there is only 1 SXM restaurant that is a sponsor of TTOL so there is no "pay to play" with regard to restaurants here. I know for sure that on other social media platforms and groups there is definitely a "pay to play" thing going on.

You get opinions and facts and what one does with them is totally up to the individual.

With regard to this particular restaurant, it has been an ongoing theme that the food can be very good but the service seems to be hit or miss and it has been that way for some time.

You can have your favorites and I can have mine and that does not change with being a moderator.
