I have found good prices next early winter to EIS but bad prices to VIJ. Want the VIJ route but not at that cost. Is this extra high $ rate seasonal or lack of planes and pilots but ? is any opinion if it is a new day that is liable to be here for highest prices to VIJ for a long time to come. This will be our 13th trip to VG.

Are you comparing VIJ and EIS both on Cape Air? Any other airline to EIS is apples to oranges, because only the Cape Air Cessnas go to VIJ. I wouldn't spend big extra bucks when the ferry is short and cheap.

AFAIK, only Cape Air and charters fly to VIJ.

Jet Blue does not fly to EIS, only codeshares. InterCaribbean does not codeshare, so those will be separate tickets, with those caveats. In terms of codeshare, it is Silver, Cape Air and WinAir (through SXM). We still see Liat planes - not sure where they're flying these days. It's late, so maybe I'm forgetting someone. Cape Air is still most reliable, and most expensive.

If you have four or five people, maybe charter from STT. The direct flights from Miami are scheduled in December, so keep an eye on that.

You can call IslandBirds or Tradewinds for a private charter from SJU to VIJ. Prices are not too obscene, but also not cheap.

Thank you VGR! We will look into that as well as keeping the faith that some better fares just to VIJ will emerge as we are backing off the economic effects of the Pandemic .

It's unclear from Cape Air's website if TravelPasses are available from SJU to VIJ. You might call and ask.
