We have not been back in 9 years but managed to pull together a trip as desperation set in! smile Former owners at the Towers though we gave our unit back to the resort not long before the last hurricane, which was very lucky...

We fly United from EWR. Return was on a Saturday so we were expecting mayhem in the airport but I guess because our flight was not til 5:30p (a great time btw) it was not bad at all.

We stayed at RI La Plage and big shout out to the RI Timeshare group for facilitating us renting a week on short notice. 1st floor unit was fine and it served our purpose for where we wanted to be.

We went to Club O and Cupecoy beaches only. ClubO beach is as others have described re seaweed and wind but we just loved it, of course. Wasn't gonna let any amount of seaweed, wind or anything else dampen the days...great people there, unique atmosphere...I like the new Perch better than the old one and very handy place to wait out the short rain showers and 2 for 1 HH is still wonderful. No place I'd rather be...that said, we did get to spend some time at Cupecoy on Baby Beach one full day and one half the day we came home. In fact we had the whole area to ourselves for about 2 hours that second day and that was special. Watched a pelican dive up and down for fish for entertainment. We haven't seen what is now Dany's before and we joined the Lemondroppers one evening as well on our way home from Club0 which we had not done in many years...great fun!

We ate at Izi, Pineapple Pete's, Palms which were all great and a very cool find above Cupecoy called Bar Code. Really cute place...they had a singer with one of the owners accompanying on guitar that we really enjoyed. Also ate and drank in Driftwood. We did not need reservations for any of these venues which is not to say they weren't busy, just not full. Will say that our former favorite for a late day drink and plane watching at Sunset Beach took a major hit...bartender in that old circular bar near the beach was an absolute dud and it really was a bummer vs.days past where the bartenders were always full of personality and got a good crowd going...we didn't go back again after this.

We always use Lesley Bruce at Kenny's for car rental and it was flawless as always.

A great trip and we hope to now start looking to make this time of year a regular going forward. Thanks all and happy to answer any questions!
