Question about SXM airport arrival:
Does the bus that shuttles passengers from the plane to the arrivals terminal board from the same side, or do we get on the bus on one side, then get off the bus from the opposite side?

Boarding and deboarding is all done from one side. There are front and rear doors though.

And all classes board and depart the bus at same time. Arriving and departing.

If I understand the point of your question, you're best bet, no matter when you deplane, is to stand as near the door of the bus as you can. We fly first class, and always move to the side and not the back, when we board the bus. Learned that the hard way.

I hate those damn busses. Last year, I boarded the bus first because my knee was so bad walking was difficult and I used a wheelchair for the first time. They put us on first and then proceeded to load a gazillion other people all around us. Most of them were not paying much attention to those of us sitting down and I had more than one carry on slam into my knee. And so much for ANY social distancing. It is awful. The drivers jerk the brakes constantly making it difficult to stand up too. Get rid of those stupid busses and fix your damn airport!

On our last trip , they insisted everyone move to the back, so that people could "squeeze" on. Only the wheelchair people remained seated at the front door.

So, does this mean that none of the jetways are back in service, yet ?
