Here is a sample of the opening menu. They plan to add more items in the following days.

Looks interesting. Wondering what the numbers are next to the menu items and I don't mean the prices.

Those are references to
E-Numbers . Required in Europe. Somewhere later in the menu the single-digit numbers will reference the actual E-Numbers.

Click on the link in my post, those are food additives that are required, by law, to be listed when used. Most of them are quite harmless chemicals (like ascorbic acid) but some might at some point in the future be considered carcinogenic. The US has very lax additive labelling laws in comparison.

OK, thanks for the info. Weird, as noplace else on SXM puts that kind of info on their menu, as far as I know.

Thanks. Didn't notice it as a link. Only top item in Appitizer had them but all others did.

I wondered about that as well - I expect that on the French side, but not on the Dutch side. But those numbers are ubiquitous on European menus and can't be anything else. Most of those are just common additives that you would also use at home and aren't anything to worry about. Such things as MSG or gum (thickener) have numbers.

The numbers refers to a list of allergens (diary, nuts, soy....) that is posted at the bottom of the page and you can't see in the pic.
