Our favorite radio station Island 92 is back on the air!

Glad to hear that, and to hear that the damage from the fire next door wasn't so bad.

Thanks for the info. That’s always been our favourite station too.

It's streaming only right now. No live on-island over-the-air signal yet. According to Dr. Soc (on the Island 92 website chat area):

There's no live host (DJ). Only music and commercials right now.

It's going to be a work in progress said Dr. Soc this morning when we chatted about "The best of the best" . LOL!!!

@BillDauterive - I've been trying to get Island 92 for the past couple of days and only get a carrier signal. Even the online streaming wasn't working. Are we looking at the same radio station?

Oops, I didn't see the more recent updates. I'm in Grand Case now, but am going to head into town today and will see what the damage looks like.

I drove by this afternoon, but there is surprisingly little damage visible from the road.

From the pic I posted from the air it looks like the buildings along the road were not as damaged so that makes sense

As of 6:00 AM EST, Dr Soc is back on the air. The over-the-air broadcast is back as well.

His first song played: Burning Down the House by Talking Heads.

He said that the digital connection that went from the studio to the broadcast antenna is gone. They're using an analog connection from the studio to the broadcast antenna, so there's some static in the over-the-air broadcast (can't confirm, as I am not on the island).

There is a bit of static, which I at first thought was due to my cheap car stereo But I'm back to listening to the station and ignoring the commercials rather than trying to put together my own playlists.
