Not unusual now with all the ships in port.

We just went through the road to our villa, it is so crazy, hundreds and hundreds of people evrywhere trying to take pics of these planes. The road is full of people, sunset beach bar is full of people. We will never ever come back to Maho beach. So many people think this is all to SXM but we tell many people that there is so much more to see on the island.

It's an hour later in SXM than on the east coast, this time of year, so most people would be heading back to the ship by now.

Not usually a stop for us but will be in March when we bring a couple that have not been there. Being the the air shipping industry it certainly is a draw. Won't be going on a big cruise ship day, but it is a pretty unique place to visit. 33 days until we are back!

We will never ever come back to Maho beach.

You shouldn't go when there are multiple cruise ships in port. Today there are 4 biggies (one being the largest cruise ship in the world) and 1 "smaller" ships in port....not a good day for Maho. Sunday and Monday would have been better, BIG difference in the experience

Hit that webcam link, and turn the sound up. If you listen carefully, you can hear the folks at Sunset Bar counting all that money ...

Caribbean Canadian you need to plan which days to go to Maho as you well know now. It can be a wonderful day there with the beach pretty much to yourself. The screen shot was taken this past Dec 11th on Sunday at 9:31am and the next shot was taken Sunday Dec 18th at 10.27am.

It’s not like that any more, I walk by there every day to go to the market and it is packed. If there are no cruise ships in, which doesn’t happen often, it is tolerable. We have been here since December 15th.

I have the webcam on almost everyday! They really pack them in!! This is why we print out the ship schedule before we leave for the island. You don't want to get caught up in that traffic if you are staying in Beacon Hill and Beachside Villas!! Or if you had thoughts of having lunch at Driftwood or SSBB!!!

Sand Gravity, got to love it!

I don't bother to print it out as I can always access it online any given day while on island.

Right. No need to print it out ahead of time. The link is right here at the top of the page.
