Thanks for the report. Curious about your itinerary - going strait to North Sound and then Anegada (and the rest). Was that done to go out synch with normal cruisers (Norman first night, working your way up to North Sound by third night, then to Anegada?

The crew I had were all experienced and had sea legs - I do try to stay ahead or behind the normal itinerary if weather allows to avoid the crowds .We also started our itinerary from Fats Hogs Bay on a fairly flat sea .
I am very strong believer or having an A and B itinerary depending on crew , weather ,swells etc... remembering everyone on board is on vacation seeking a good relaxing time

We counted 23 sails on Tuesday heading from North Sound to Anegada - and that was from our vantage point sailing to Jost. Lots of boats out this week. We skipped Anegada this trip - maybe April/May when it is more favorable for our favorite anchoring spot.

Nice to hear you had a fantastic trip. Just wondering what boat you sailed? We own the Leopard 45, Stargazer. I really love that boat, very roomy and great to sail. I'm also very pleased with Captain's Compass new location at Fat Hog's Bay. We even walk to get groceries at both the small grocery store and at the marina and Riteway just a couple buildings down the road. I agree with you about the ease going directly to North Sound from Fat Hog Bay. It does allow you the opportunity of jumping ahead of the other charters. Can't wait to be back down in 60 days.

Gene's now offers a free shuttle to the restaurant, at least from certain marinas.

Thanks, PEPCO! It's been just over 2 weeks since we returned from our BVI charter and I'm already homesick for that those unbelievable isles. Reading these reports is the next best thing to going back for a moment. . . if only in one's heart. And I think your itinerary sounded terrific.

We were on Stargazer! We did our sleep aboard on the 10th and got off the boat on the 21st! We saw Smilemaker at Anegada. What a fabulous trip we had. Loved everything about Stargazer! We did a complete circumnavigation of the islands. Favorite meal: Abes in Little Harbor Jost...hands down! Loved snorkeling the caves this time. The coral seems to be coming back and thriving with brilliant purples. Swam with a sea turtle there as well. Heartbreaking to hear that Seddy passed away right after we left Jost. I walked down to his place but no one was there...truly hate I missed him! Bubbly pool was raging and perfect. Anegada Beach Club was a dream and of course who can resist Cow Wreck! The anchorages did not seem as crowded this year and some of the locals said it was a little slower this year. I hope it picks up for them.
Fat Hogs Bay was quiet and super convenient with the supermarket right down the street. Topping off the fuel there on return made it so easy! We have done several charters with The Captain's Compass and Brent. We have been pleased every time...guess that's why we keep returning!
See you next time BVI's!!

Thank you for taking the time to share! We are headed there a week from Friday to sail on Ad Astra. So sad about Seddy. I always hang with him the many, many times we've been to BVIs. He was so proud of the renovations the last time we were there before pandemic and dubbed it a VIP tour. Miss him.
Cheers,
Marcia
