Well we landed Sunday from Toronto. That was the second fastest landing in 23 years!! The KLM was hot on our heels. I think we turned around at far end where the big boys turn. We were going too fast to stop at the first turn around. We were coming down the stairs when the KLM thundered onto the runway. Whew!!
Great weather to arrive to. Airport in Toronto was insane & again here. We arrived at 7 for 10:23 flight (supposed to be 9:30) & we had about 45 minutes to have food & they were boarding. St Maarten we were in line at least 45 minutes but we were ahead of the crowd from KLM 😃
We had lunch at la main a la pate a lovely melted lamb dish with mashed potato hills & 4 cheese pizza & take away pasta with salmon & cream sauce for dinner from same restaurant & fruit tarte from super u.
Supplies came in today. More later.

You were definitely lucky to beat the KLM in. I arrived on WestJet from Toronto on Thursday. We landed just after Air France and a Delta flight! The lineups for Customs and Immigration were very long. Perhaps just as well, since the baggage was also backed up. We were actually early, but got diverted to allow the Delta flight in first, which was ahead of us. Having said that, it still wasn't bad, since I was through and out to meet Claude from Discount SXM Car Rental in about an hour. The wait is worth the result!! Now on island time!

Guess we were lucky...arrived yesterday (215pm) and were the only aircraft with deplaning passengers ...sooooo... nobody at passport control. We waited 20 minutes for our bags which is MUCH better than usual and whooshed by van to Hertz for a very easy car retrieval. Driving away we saw AF land... and after we got to our condo at SBR the rains came and lasted maybe an hour. Nice 180 deg rainbow though
