Heading back to our favorite island in a couple of weeks! Was wondering if any reconstruction has begun at the Paradise View location. Before Irma, it was our favorite place for breakfast.

Didn't see any activity happening with either Paradise View or the little shacks lining the driveway. Bernadine, who had the cat rescue and hot sauce stand there, has passed away.

I had heard that the formers owners had moved to another island (or back to France). It's a shame. We loved going there for breakfast. Plus I enjoyed Bernadine with all those rescued cats :-(

This was part of my conversation with Lucie dated 10-16-2017 Dear David and Louise,
Thanks you very much for thinking of me.
Me and Tia went back to France in our family. I'm pregnant and i'm going to stay there during the pregnancy, Laurent is still in saint martin and should join us soon.
The restaurant is partially destroyed and the owner of the building was not insured so it will take time to reopen.
i really hope that we can see you again in the future i hope you are fine you and your family
take care and thanks again for everything Lucie, Laurent Tia and ... Future baby
Even back then, they had hopes to reopen. IMHO, this restaurant had the complete package! We loved it there ate there many times!! Lovely couple will be sadly missed. I'll reach out to Lucie, see if she had future baby boy or girl!!
Sand Gravity, got to love it!
