Our flight was just cancelled! Flying Delta out of JFK and I can't find ANYTHING to get us there in days. Anyone have any ideas I may not have thought of? Seems I can't get anywhere.

I'm on that same flight. Delta didnt even send us a cancellation notice. Supposed to be sleeping aboard tonight and sailing tomorrow. No idea what we will do now.

provided we can get there....we may extend our stay but we have non-refundable tickets thru Delta on the way home. Anyone have any experience in a situation like this where an airline will allow a CHANGE to a return flight if the departing flight is so horribly messed up.

United is showing availability this morning out of Newark through SXM to EIS for $454.

Thanks. I'm not seeing this unfortunately. Do you have flight numbers? I've talked to a few united reps.

Maybe someone grabbed them. I saw them on Google flights and Ratman clicked through to United and saw two seats, although separate.

This is the busiest day of the year flying down here, without storms. I am not seeing anything on Allegiant, Southwest, Frontier or Spirit.

Cancelations are off the chart high everywhere. Seats are going to be difficult to find. The American flight just after noon from JFK shows a few seats however they are not accepting bookings which might mean it’s in the que to be cancelled. I would try however to get through to AA and see if they will book you. They will have a bunch of no shows with canceled inbounds..

I looked at every option on every airline I can think might have flights. I can see loads and some should have tickets for sale but it appears many airlines have simply stopped accepting bookings today and tomorrow. I would look at getting to SJU if you can as connecting seats to EIS should free up with all the cancellations. If you can get through tonDelta you might see if they will list you standby to SJU.

You're the authority, George. I was thinking along the same lines re: flights from SJU to EIS. They are showing as fully booked for days, but I'm guessing lots of people will have had their arriving flights cancelled, opening up seats.

Weather here in Paradise is great: warm, sunny with a nice breeze. We're enjoying uncooked food, as our stove is out of commission. Ratman pulled it out to touch up some enamel chipped in Irma and the gas line started hissing. We'll see if lots of You Tube videos lead to a fix!

We cancelled the charter. Spent 5 hours exploring many options and went to JFK just to talk to Delta. We had family coming in from 3 different locations so couldn't reasonably get them to fly there with us skippering and good chance we would be late by 3 plus days. Very disappointed over here.

On the flip side of this. If anyone is stuck in the BVI's because of this the CRC rental is available for about ten days and I will happily give a TTOL discount for anyone stranded.

So we ended up booking (at a HUGE cost) a flight out of Philadelphia on Thursday. BUT Delta did not cancel our return flight so I can only make changes, not cancel that one. So I am locked into flying back into a different airport. This makes transportation a nightmare because we are 1.5 hours from JFK and 3 hours from Philly.
So we are literally driving our car down to JFK on Wed, leaving it in long term parking so it's there when we get back, then pick up a rental car to drive to Philly and get a hotel so we are there for our Thursday AM flight!
I can't believe Delta would cancel that flight for the next 4 days!
I am only hoping my trip insurance gives me some compensation.
JF1234 I am SO sorry about your charter.
I will be giving serious thought to holiday travel ever again.

skipdastraw==glad you are somehow saving some vacation, but I think you have something there--no holiday travel. It's kind of not worth it, even if everything goes ok.

I’ll be waving to you in solidarity. Our United flight was canceled today and they are offer NO options before the 29th. Ended up booking out of PHL on the 28th on AA and extending our trip.

Oh, I saw that flight on Mon when we got cancelled but before I could book it, it disappeared. Maybe with other cancellations, seats freed up. Good for you! We grabbed the AA flight from Philly on Thursday. All I can say is this flight better take off. This time I will be 3 hours from home if it gets cancelled! I hope everything goes smoothly for you tomorrow!
