A friend traveling with us needs to get either Cipro or Amoxicillan. Does anyone know if she can get that at a pharmacy without seeing a doctor? Today's her last full day, and she really doesn't want to spend it at a doctor's office.

Try Orange Grove Pharmacy in Cole Bay, they open at 8am and are not far from the Carrefour. I got clindamycin on the island without a prescription. if no luck there, try a pharmacy on the French side, they have more leeway.

It never hurts to ask. I have found the more one knows about what they are asking about when it comes to something like this, the better chance they have of getting a good result. Simpson Bay Pharmacy is worth a try in addition to what "bdeely" stated.

Simpson Bay pharmacy refused, even though she had evidence of having the prescription in the past.

Try Maho Pharmacy. They have filled prescriptions and offered me antibiotics in the past without a prescription.

I cannot remember the name of the pharmacy (on the French side) but I received Cipro, no questions asked.
