Has anyone on Island been to Naked Pirate Rum Bar yet? Heard it just opened about 9 days ago and is located where the old Peg Legs Pub was located before it moved to Port Plaisance. Haven't gotten much information on it yet. It would be nice to get a look at a menu or the food. Always looking for new places to dine. Thanks.

Looks like the original place!!! The bar is in the same place is was back when it was Peg Leg's with Shawn the manager!!! The next owner changed the seat covers and couches to a white cover. The food was never the same!!! It would be nice to see a menu! Could not find it on their FB page. We'd give it a go for drinks and appts!!

It was open when we were on island earlier this month, and I really wanted to stop by for at least a drink, but we ran out of time.

Love the name of this new place! Wishing them the best of luck.

Right now they only serve burgers and chicken tenders, they will be adding a few more items to the menu in the near future. Burgers are delicious but very large (double smashed patty’s)and the fries are excellent!!!!!! The owner, Robert???? was fun to talk to. Everything is very reasonably priced.

Thanks for the update Linny, I will definitely drop in to check it out. Sounds like this is the place for a good burger.

Naked Pirate Rum Bar sounds like a take on Neil's propensity for bar names!

I've been to Naked Pirate 4 or 5 times now. The burgers are really fantastic, huge, as mentioned above, but so good. They are still kind of "soft" opening as Robert tries to figure out the nuance of keeping just enough stock of fresh meat and buns daily. As a result they sometimes run out!

The cruisers are loving the place because there's a huge dinghy dock out back that Robert says is free to use at any time. So handy for accessing that part of Simpson Bay.

I am working on getting him to serve the best onion rings in the world.

Oh and try the deceptively strong rum punch.

Thanks for the update Ritchard. It sounds like the owner is trying to get established as a viable restaurant / bar on an Island where restaurants abound. We arrive January 7 and will definitely spend some time there having a hamburger and a cold Carib. Just hope he goes for the onion rings as they would be great with the burger. Any word on if he is going to expand the menu from chicken tenders and hamburgers?

Robert is working on other menu items, but doesn't feel he has to rush - he's told me he would rather get it right. When he's selling out of burgers a couple of times a week he's doing pretty well so far.
