Anytime a favorite is asked there is always disputes but here goes...
Favorite Conch Fritter on Island. Vote must be for a plate available now - not your favorite from the past that is no longer available (i have several of those). I will try the winner next week.

Conch fritters seem to be a rarity where we eat--accras are widespread, however--but my vote goes to the tempura conch at Villa Royale in Grand Case. I'm looking forward to hearing of places that do serve good conch fritters.
And Scubaman, it was a while ago when we were in Key West, but conch was so rare I renamed it the island formerly known as the Conch Republic. Overfishing.

Greenhouse used to have decent conch fritters but I have not had them for years. They are still listed on their menu. Greenhouse Menu

Finally got back to Sint Maarten!
Staying at Marys Boon w a credit we had from 2018
Some rain today but will get better
Had a delicious lunch at Le Mediterranean at Porto Cupecoy
Trying to hit the places we’ve always enjoyed
Head to Marigot and Friars Bay tomorrow
Glad to be back - always enjoy our time on the sunny isle

Hubby likes the ones at Mary's Boon.
And he had great conch at Yvette's, though not frittered.

Lisa - I have tried them at Chesterfields. Don't know if I would go as far as horrible but certainly not on my list to try again. Also the ones at Greenhouse are nothing to excite me.

Scubaman - my regret is that it used to be. I remember getting incredible conch fritters 20 years. There was a restaurant (can't remember the name) that was on the dock at Oyster Bay and also had a location in PBurg that is now a Diamonds Intl.
I would walk down from the OBBR pool to get an order and bring it back to the pool to eat.

We were in the Turks and Caicos in May. Every restaurant had multiple conch choices. I never knew there were so many ways to prepare it.
Cracked conch was my favorite. We have vacationed in SXM 20 times, but I don't recall ever seeing cracked conch on a menu. Anyone else?

I've never seen cracked conch on SXM. In the Bahamas and T&C they generally cook their conch over quick heat rather than longer heat. I will suggest an alternative--the grilled conch at Caribbean Blend. It's grilled over charcoal while being basted in an herbed butter sauce. Much as I prefer Bahamian and T&C style of cooking conch, I like this particular grilled version better. And next door, they have conch in a garlic wine sauce that's amazing. Still looking for a conch salad like they served at L'Escargot, though.

conch salad is also very popular in the Bahamas...like a ceviche, the conch is not cooked with heat, rather cured with lime and orange juice
