Finally returning to the island. Have not been back since the hurricane. How much is the chair rental now at Club Orient beach? Also wondering if there is a breakfast spot on the beach now. We will miss Cheryl.

Kind of pricey now for chairs. Might need to return to bringing our own. Don’t know how inflation applies to this.

$25 a day is a small price to pay considering the view and the location. Plus you’re supporting the people who keep Club O beach operating and keep the spirit of Club O alive.

Ellen & I are leaving for St. Martin Dec. 8th. Haven't been to Club"O" in 20 years! Loved it then. Any news to report?

forever, Twenty years or so ago, the price for two chairs and umbrella at Club O was 20 bucks. All these years later, it is now 25? Sure seems to be a bargain for that price, and it sure as hell beats ''shlepping'' a couple of chairs and umbrella back and forth from the parking lot and the beach. You are on vacation...relax....chill....and enjoy the view.

25 bucks doesn't bother me! You're right we're on vacation. After being online I can see there's alot of changes. I'm hoping the French side didn't change that much and I do enjoy the views!

I agree it’s not a bad price to avoid dragging chairs but times 7 or 10 days it would buy some really nice chairs and I’ve noticed more and more people bringing their own. It’s a vacation but some people still have a budget to stay within.

If you buy chairs on island, then you need to figure out what to do with them. If you really don't want to pay by the day, you can always rent chairs from Craig at Packlight. I personally have no desire to schlep chairs to the beach. And for Orient, you really need a good umbrella, to deal with the wind. We already take way too much stuff to the beach.

Hello all , When we were at orient last April. We talked to
Cedrick . I believe he said he had to up the price 5 dollars
Because the French government was going to tax him . Not sure
If this is correct ...... So don't quote me .

If your motto is ; If at first you don't succeed......
Maybe it would be best not to try sky diving !

Correct and if not secured deep enough in the sand it can become a dangerous projectile.

I witnessed it happen at a resort in Mexico. Came down point first on an elderly man's chest. Took him away in an aid car.

Wow, scary. No one was injured on that day that we saw it happen, but it made me more convinced to never touch the umbrella, once they put it in the ground.
