We will be in BVI/USVI and SVI for the first part of the World Cup ( football of course..sometimes known as soccer !!)
There is a very interesting group consisting of Wales/England/USA and Iran. Only 2 teams go thru. We have guests from England, we are USA citizens (although originally from Wales/England) so makes it difficult to know who to support !!
Anyway from a sailing viewpoint we will be in Esperanza, Vieques for a crucial match. Does anyone know a bar/restaurant that we can watch the game at ?
Alternatively would the ATT cell service be good enough to stream the game ?
Cheers
Bob

We will be in BVI during this time and my son's request is to have great streaming/ other alternatives for viewing World Cup.
Many of bars in BVI will have these games on TV (Foxy's, Saba, CGB, ) as soccer is very popular here as well.

Lazy Jack's in Esperanza would be a good option for you. And yes, ATT should be fine to stream, depending on where you are. If you are close to town, you'll be good.

Mango Public House is another great option. 5-10 minutes inland from Esperanza. They call themselves a sports bar.

Well we streamed the England Iran game at Salt Pond…only 1 to 2 bars on ATT…but worked great. USA v Wales at Saint John Brew pub ….excellent beer and pizza. Plus multiple TVs.
Good result for all involved !!
Onwards to Esperanza for the next match.
Cheers Bob

Many Thanks for Lazy Jacks recommendation……multiple TVs, good beer and snacks !! Plus everybody on the boat was satisfied with a draw !!
Great dinner in the evening at El Quenepo in the evening.
Spent previous night in Bahia Flamenco ……only boat in the bay

Well one disappointment was that the Moorings were not showing the World Cup at the bar by the pool.
Apparently the channel is blocked since too many of the staff were watching ….instead of working.
Sounds like a management problem to me !!
Unfortunately the manager was not around to discuss this.
Cheers
