As the days quickly pass we are coming to the end of yet another beautiful and memorable SXM vacation. Most days have been spent at either Simpson Bay beach, Orient or Mullet doing what we like best. Lounging on a chair reading, catching some rays as well swimming in the Water. David riding waves on his boogie board and meet floating on my water noodle. The most activity we’ve had is walks on the beach and the several hour Rhino Riders.

With two nights to go we’ve managed to hit up most of the restaurants that we wanted to go. We did not get together with as many friends who live on the island and others from the states who vacation the same time as us for one reason or another. Unfortunate, but sometimes schedules just don’t jive.

Most of our vacation has been spent with our dear friends Michael and Billy who we met at BSV many years ago. When we found out we were in neighboring states we became fast friends who see each other back home throughout the year. Another reason we love the island is for the cherished friendships we have made with them and others.

Last night I had a delicious 2 lb lobster at Lees. With two sides my meal was $50. Market price at Lees and also Sandbar was $25/lb. We decided on Lees and glad we had. The lobster was grilled perfectly and slathered in garlic butter. David had a cheeseburger. It was huge. I felt guilty eating lobster while he had a burger but not that guilty that I didn’t devour it. I love their side dishes which didn’t disappoint. They still make awesome potato salad and caramelized plantains.

After dinner we joined friends who were dining at Izi. We had Cosmos and called it a night.

Photo of David and I at breakfast the other day.

That lobster looks delicious. Great photo too! I’ve enjoyed following your trip. Sometimes you just need a ‘down time’ vacation. I imagine our visit beginning next week will be ‘fairly’ quiet this time around. My lower back has been bothering me and there’s nothing more I want to do than lie on a beach (ANY beach), read my book, and enjoy some waves. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
