panman--I know it doesn't directly address your question, but I have read a couple of posts recently about cars being vandalized at hotels in the Miami area, that were on long term park and fly situations. And the hotel did ZIP about it. I can highly recommend Miami Park & Fly. They have INSIDE secured parking. You drive up inside the building, step out of your car, and they help you get your luggage out and carry it to a waiting minibus. Upon your return, usually there is a minibus which is circling the airport, but you can call to request a pickup and they have always been there within no more than 10 minutes for us, with several years of pickups. And you give them your parking slip and your car is right there by the bus drop off point, with the keys in it, when you arrive back at the lot.

I totally GET wanting to do a hotel the night before your flight, and you can still do that, and then drive to Park N Fly the following morning. I personally have had a lot of really bad experiences with pickups from the airport from hotel shuttles, which took for FREAKING ever. And to me, that is the worst experience to end a lovely vacation on. You can make a reservation online for Park n Fly, and there are normally discounts you can get off the regular prices.

So, suggest you check out your options, but don't discount Park n Fly, because they do a great job!
