Today is the beginning of my 2nd full day back. It's warm/hot and the little yellow butterflies are everywhere. I haven't really been anywhere yet to comment on traffic, but it seems to be "normal" in the Cupecoy area.
Be forewarned that at PJIA there was quite a long cue before one can leave the secure area, for a random baggage screening - looking for guns/drugs, I was told.
I wonder if that long line at Customs is a constant thing or just spotty. A few years back (pre Irma) it happened while we were in baggage claim but then disappeared. We were told they do the custom inspection on when flights from certain other islands have landed.
I had posted on an earlier thread that there was going to be an emphasis on looking for Guns and drugs on incoming flights at PJIA. Expect more of them.
Good morning everyone from BSV. We arrived yesterday. Do I really have to say it? The island is beautiful. Haven't ventured out much yet other than the Carefour in Cole Bay and Dinner last night at JAX in Maho, plus a brief stint to the Casino across the street to help the SXM economy, LOL.
The beach at BSV is the largest I've seen in quite some time, so that's an added plus. Someone mentioned the butterflies, I've never seen so many around and they're every where, just beautiful. Beautiful view of Saba this morning. It doesn't get any better than this having breakfast looking at that from the deck.
Waiting for more friends to arrive today, David and Louise(Colour1 and Fabila) and others. Towards the end of the trip, Terri and Ritt(The Lurker) and hopefully Pat. Pat, not sure if our dates will miss each other again, but we're here until the 4th. Hope to see you and John.
Will be reporting in as the trip goes on. Have a nice weekend eveyone.
Hi Mike, looks like we are going to miss you this year again, Jim and I are arriving on the 7th. It has been a few years since we overlapped. Enjoy your stay.

Sounds wonderful!!
Can't wait to see you and the rest of the crew. Remember if you haven't already gone, by the time we get there, we can always do Izi's.
Glad things are good at BSV and around the island youāve seen so far. Just donāt have too much fun and save some good times for those who come behind you. We arrive on the first with the_lurker but we wonāt arrive at BSV until your departure day. Are you in #14? And if so donāt be surprised to see a backboard and a concrete block arrive on your departure day. šš Have an awesome good time - weāll be thinking of you for the next week and a half and wish you all only the best.
Respectfully,
pat

We arrive this coming Wednesday. Our first ever arrival/departure on a day other than a Saturday. Hopefully that will result in a smooth, easy travel day.

Good morning Terri. As it so happens, the 4 of us went to IZI last night for dinner. It was so good, there wasn't even a morsel of food left on any of our plates when the server cleared our plates. IZI is one of our favorite restaurants. We talked last night and will wait for you and Ritt to arrive before going back for our 2nd visit. I can't remember exactly what date you arrive, I think the 1st? But whenever you get in, we'd love to get together with you to go back for dinner. Now, hurry up and get here....LOL.

Good morning Pat, thank you for the kind wishes. I've sent you a private message. I think the stars maybe aligning and we will get to see each other on this trip. Looking forward to that. Can't wait for you to get here.
Received your message and canāt thank you enough for the heads-up. I hope things work out for your friends but if not, hoping they may work in our favor.
Enjoy your timeā¦ā¦.
