Ahoy Captains,

Brent, The Captains Compass Yacht Charters and Yacht Management, and Heatseeker International Yacht Brokerage, have moved up to the James Young Marina at Fat Hog Bay.
Better Facilities for The Captains Compass and Better Prices on dockage & mooring balls.

The Captain’s Compass sailors will find Fat Hog Bay and the JY Marina are safe and easily accessed, the channel is well marked, the dock is in very good shape, and Moor Secure is repairing or replacing all 8 balls on the dock and 10 balls in the harbor.
For the Yachts there is Diesel and Gasoline 200' West on the Chalwell dock.
On shore there is a large laundry, a car rental, and a small convenience store with Ice.
Only a 2 minute walk West is a fully stocked Riteways grocery store with all the American brands of provisions, and fresh fruits & vegetables and meats & baking.
And next to the Riteways is a well-stocked Ships’ Chandlery.
For my Guests there’s Brandywine Bay Restaurant to the west and the Loose Mongoose Restaurant to the east, each in a 7 min / 7 $ taxi.

I lived and operated and was very successful building Pro Valor Charters in Fat Hog Bay between '92 to '02.
The Local Owner of the property had always been very friendly in the few times I have seen Him over the years and has always encouraged me to 'come back'.
It is the ex Away&Aweigh, ex Navigare, ex Pro Valor, ex Barecat, ex Seabreeeze, and ex Go Vacations marina.

I am looking forward to moving to a better marina with more room to grow and to improve the service and resources for my Yacht Owners and Guests.

Yes, I am looking for more Quality Used Yachts

Sounds like a good move, Brent. I am going to be around mid November. Mind if I stop by and say hello? I'd love to check out your new digs.

Ahoy Captains,

Yes Capt. Malcolm, Gene and Robin are two of the Best People in the BVI, their Food and Service are some of the best values in the BVI, and my Guests have consistently agreed they had one of their best meals, if not The Best meal, of their vacation at 'Genes Restaurant'.
Thanks for the support 'Ty Webb'.
Looking forward to seeing you safe and sound in Fat Hog Bay Capt. L. You may find it is a very useful stop with the only fuel between Road Town and Spanish Town, with Peter Is and Marina Cay closed, along with the other services.

That is great news Brent. Glad to hear you will have room for more boats. Hope to see some monos in your fleet again. I think our first Charter with PV was back in 2001, in FHB, maybe 2023 is the year to come back to the Isalnds.

Good Luck to you and your owners.

Great to hear there may be another option for our L40 when we phase out 2024!

Ahoy Captains,

Yes, I miss the having the 'Toe Rail in the Water' too. Maybe someday I will buy another myself to offer my 'Old Salts'.
Yes Capt C, I would sincerely appreciate the opportunity to offer 'Lio Kai' a new Home.
And I am sure the Heard of Iguanas at the marina would enjoy the occasional view of a Sea Horse on the dock.

Ahoy Captains,

Ahoy Capt. Sue, I will be here in ’23 and ’24 and ’25 and beyond.
Don’t Forget – I can help with your Phase Out to insure a much higher quality Survey, professional Labor, and especially verify Parts.
I can confirm Workmanship, mark Parts to prevent an last minute ‘swaps’, facilitate Insurance, act as your Registered Agent, etc.

Ahoy Capt. Sue,

My only advice would be - Don't take any advice from Strangers on the Internet - Wait a minute ...
I beg every Yacht Owner to start here -
https://chambers.com/legal-rankings/tax-international-tax-usa-2:638:225:1
The Moorings base in the BVI may be the best location for your Phase Out based on it being Their largest base, if They let You move it here?
If They say No - You can Thank the 'Barbarians at the Gate'.

Ha! Very good advice! I didn't think about the possibility of phasing out in the BVI...things to ponder over the next couple years.
