Good morning! We want to mail many of our belongings by parcel post to St. Thomas. We will be living on a boat in the Bvi in Dec. we will need to mail these things to st Thomas for pick up in October . Is there somewhere that we can. Mail them and store them until mid December ? And what the cost might be? Thanks !!! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />

not quite understanding your request. We have a boat in BVI and mail to a P.O. Box in Crown Bay, it's $25 a month and you can rent only one month. They prefer you pick up within a few days of delivery. Why pick up in October and store until December? USPS Priority will arrive in 3-5 days. West Marine is very USVI friendly

I have a boat in the BVI and often mail parts and equipment directly there. I use a company called Tortola Express aka Aeropost. They give you a mailing address in Miami and they then forward from there. It ordinarily is delivered the following day once they receive it in Miami. Understand that they will bring the packages through customs and upfront the fees but you will be responsible on pickup plus the freight charges. They have an office in Road Town where you can pick up or they will deliver. I have used many services over the years to include those located in St. John and St. Thomas but none has worked out as well as Tortola Express. They have a website and I urge you to take a look. The lack of major hastle is well worth it.

Thanks for the info!! to explain more, we are buying a boat in the UK leaving Colorado mid October and flying to get the boat to live on. we will take as much as possible on the flight but wanted a place in a that would accept the far cheaper USPS parcel post for the remainder of our belongings. We plan to do a short tour of England and France then head out for the BVI expected to arrive 15 Dec wink
