We had a lovely stay at Beachside in June . Thinking of going back this winter. Has anyone stayed in Villa 1? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

We stayed in villa 1 a long time ago. Inside all units are EXACTLY the same (except for the three bedroom units), so inside there is no difference. As far as location, #1 is a bit more private because it is the last unit, and there is never anyone at the white building next door on that side. No unit there is a FAR walk from the parking, but #1 is a bit further than most. The biggest problem with it to me is how far it is from the pool, since the pool is the other end of the complex. It is a shorter walk to El Zafiro, if you like going there. I like the other end because of the proximity to the pool and how close the parking is to the units, but no unit there is a bad one at all.

Re Villa #1, we have friends who stay there regularly and their unit preference is #1. It’s a very private unit from what I understand. We prefer the other end of the property for its proximity to the pool and for easy airplane viewing from the front door step.

If you haven’t done so already, I would nail down that BSV time slot as soon as possible. It’s a very popular place to stay as you already know and it books up way in advance. Seems that once you stay there for the first time you are hooked. At least, I know we were. Our first stay there was as an add-on to our time share weeks and we fell in love with the property. So much so in fact that we started shedding our timeshare weeks. We walked away from the first timeshare week but Irma took care of the other three for us. Now it’s BSV as often as we can go. 🙂🙂

That's my unit!!! We've been staying at unit#1 from or first trip to Beachside villa's some 12 years ago! I love the view and the deck there. Some people need to be closer to the pool, I like the quiet of it! The walkway it nicely lite up at night leading up to the front door. The layout is with the kitchen on the left and master bedroom on the right. With the curtains open it has an amazing view of the sunrise!! As I say to anyone who has never stayed at BSV, "You will want for nothing!"

Yes that’s were we call home when we stay at BSV. We like the privacy of only one Villa next to us. Same great view, same staff, same every except your the first Villa.

Didn’t see your post, hon. David said it better than me why we love Villa 1 but any Villa is a great.

Another vote for Beachside Villas. We are oldtimers there and continue to go
twice a year! We usually stay in Villa #10, but have been in a few others like
#13 which is great!

Some prefer the pool end, but many love the privacy at the other end.

Thanks everyone . All booked , Guess we are hooked also. This will be our second stay at BSV and sure it won’t be our last. We love both sides of the Island. Have been visiting since the 80’s. Staying in Orient Beach every visit. It will be an extension to our three weeks at Orient this year.
