Here's a pic from the ferry dock in Cruz Bay taken in July. DIF is kicking in, and next summer seems so far away! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/stj_ferry_dock.JPG)

This is from 2010. I like the way you framed yours....I must have been drinking?! We are missing St John too, trying to figure out how to squeeze in a land trip this year. Someone needs to post a St John trip report........... ![[Linked Image]](http://i1358.photobucket.com/albums/q778/BEERMANRICK/TTOL%20POSTS/StJohn2010501_zps531dc193.jpg)

Count me in as missing STJ as well. We don't go back until July 2015.

If you've ever heard the Kenny Chesney song "Lindy", that's the beach Lindy went on his final stroll in November 2008. Yeah, that picture got me a couple of flashbacks. The window looks from the ferry terminal over towards C&I, opposite the dinghy dock.
We head down on September 6. We've got a Plan A/B/C for this trip.
Cheers, RickG

RickG - I am PA Girl from the other forum.
Did you buy a boat? I remember you mentioning shopping for a boat and a later reference to keeping it at STT.
We are headed to Xcaret in Nov and VG in Feb but I am looking forward to STJ in July the most.

Twanger said: Great minds! Mine is only half as good... Exposed the window and over exposed the beach. Definitely the crying window - the ferry is coming to take you away. ![[Linked Image]](http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l243/TravelAgain/TTOL/window4.jpg) Next trip scheduled 1st week of December. However... My sweetie is hinting a birthday/anniversary trip first week in October may be needed!

Hey there Twanger,
I do not post much on any site but you reached me with this one. I have been back in the states since May and won't be back on my boat in Frances Bay until the end of October where I will split my time between there, the BVI and the SVI through the next May. I have spent over 40 years in and around the Caribbean and St. John is my favorite place to be. Incredible beauty, great friends and the world's best bar, The Quiet Mon in Cruz Bay. 62 days to go and I am ready for another season. Thanks for the photo, wonderful memories.

Cleobeach, yes we bought a 2009 Beneteau Oceanis 40. I started looking for a place to buy on STJ in 1999, but the economics never made sense. The boat route ended up being 5% of a modest place on STJ. We have 8 weeks planned in 2015.
Cheers, RickG

Cheers, RickG Very nice! I bet that is a lot of fun. I come from a family of sailors but married a not-a-sailor who loves being on a boat but not the work of sailing a boat.

Cheers, RickG RickG is so modest! He has a beautiful boat. It is also a racer, recently finishing 2nd in a local regatta. I hope you can somehow make it down and race in the Catfight too.

Looks like we are the same STJ trip schedule!
