Lobster season ends June 30 and opens November 1… when we were there last October, Anageda Reel Restaurant served us “frozen lobster that was mushy and just plain crap. We were there again 3 weeks ago and fresh lobster was great. I’m heading down first of August and since lobster season is over, not going to Anageda. You can hope they have live lobsters in cages but I wouldn’t bet on it.

i don't know the source of the lobster but on our trip early July 2021 (lobster dinners on 07/08 - 07/12) we had lobster at the Anegada Reef Hotel, Wonky Dog, and Abe's on JVD. All were as good as any we've ever had in the BVI.

Anegada will have lobster well into August. The harvesting season ends on July 31, but the restaurants are allowed to have it until what is on hand at the time is sold. For what it's worth, there is at least on restaurant on Anegada that sells lobster 365 days a year.

I “discovered” the wrong site listing lobster throughout the Caribbean. Yes lobster season is through The end of July. Sherwin even confirmed it for me. So the question is how long after July 31 can lobsters survive in the restaurants underwater cages?

most places I think use them about 2 weeks. Ask around. As duckfat mentioned, you can typically find fresh all year if you ask around but that's a different discussion I'll leave alone.
