Yes. Flight attendant fixed us up with free drinks since we were bumped too.

Once you've been checked at your original departure airport there is no need to be rechecked.

So, if AA is serving alcohol again, is it a free item in the extra-legroom seats, as it used to be, again? Anyone know?

It depends on the type of extra leg room you opt for. It will state that in the seat selection which seats are.

Thanks PHLarry. That is the info I was looking for. Good to hear, for several upcoming trips over summer and fall.

I got meals both to/from and they were actually decent, better than expected at least. Same options pretty much on both my trips.
I prefer the Isle seat

Yes. Looked and smelled nice as what i could see from bulkhead seating after our FC seats were taken away because of delays and cancellations. We originally had selected our meals and choices were good but it didn't happen for us.

In April the food/service was better for the PHL-MIA leg compared to MIA-SXM leg, in terms of food and real plates/cutlery, but that seems to change on a week to week basis. Our flight back home I think they didn't have provisions and the FC meal was actually a choice of salads and sandwiches from the bacchus place inside the airport, so that was actually pretty good baguette sandwich (still had the 14euro sticker on it)!
