Hello-
First of all, thank you all. This forum provides me with a wealth of insider knowledge and information for our trip planning.
We have chartered a boat in the BVI's four times previously - adult only. Our last trip was in 2017 so pre-Irma. Long overdue but we are heading back June 30 - July 10! We have decided to take the kids this trip - 6 adults, 5 kids ranging from 11 to 16 - and are so excited for them to have this experience.
I have read that St. John has fireworks on the 4th of July out of Cruz Bay. We are planning on overnighting on Jost that night. Would we be able to see the fireworks from there? Is there a better option or is this just not a possibility?
Cheers!

It's about 12 miles from White Bay (assuming that's where you'll be anchoring for the night) on JVD to Cruz Bay and while White Bay is on the south side of JVD, Cruz Bay is in an "indented" cove on the western side of St. John. Since there is no line of sight between those two locations it's very doubtful you'd be able to see anything.
