Today’s mission was to find a beach with calm waters. Didn’t want to drive up to Orient, so we settled in at Friar’s Beach. It was quite windy, and we set up our chairs and umbrella a bit back from the ocean. About 15 minutes later, our umbrella sailed into the ocean. Thankfully no one was hurt! I can finally say I've been in the ocean this trip. Mission accomplished.

Lunch was at Spaghetti House, with Spaghetti Bolognese for Marc, and Penne with Shrimp and Spinach for me. Marc loves pasta, me not so much, and I did find my meal a bit on the pricey side for what was served. We were 1 of 2 tables at the restaurant, and our waitress was friendly and attentive.

The pool area at BSV was very busy today. There were 14 of us there! Marc took a quick dip to cool off and we headed back to our unit.

Later in the afternoon we drove into Philipsburg to pick up a couple of jewelry repairs at DK Gems. DK Gems provides such great service and beautiful jewelry, and we always meet the nicest customers! It’s a pleasure shopping there! We also visited with Juggie for drinks and the re-supply of Magic Spice. Sat down, enjoyed a couple of Chocolate Shakes and had LOTS of laughs!

I hadn’t had ribs yet, and our trip is almost over, so we stopped for takeout at The Original Fat Boy Jimmy’s for Ribs and Chicken Meals. Both meals, served on the BSV patio, were plentiful and very good. It hit the spot!

They were renting chairs. I’m not sure if the restaurant was open though.

Years ago, I remember being on the Club O beach and a couple of umbrellas going sailing. You can imagine those big heavy umbrellas could really hurt someone, so we were thankful no one was hurt then either.

That's a LOT of people for the BSV pool! I think probably the most people I've ever seen there is about 6.

Sorry that your trip is almost over. Time on island passes so quickly!!
