Hi Folks,
Well it's like you can't make this stuff up. Cat 5's, Closed Borders, and now the craziness with the Premier/UK Gov't. We are not alarmist but also have no desire to have a trip potentially challenged with the craziness of what is going on. We just want to enjoy our trip and getting back to VG. I've traveled internationally for business for years and one of the no go's was always if the Gov't is not stable - do not go. I'm looking at this a bit different with UK oversight which no matter what side people are on at least there is oversight. Thought's on go/no go?
Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it 1 bit. If anything, you might find customs/immigration officials to be more efficient than normal. If you're into politics, it's sure to make for interesting conversation with local characters.

Personally, I'm in the US right now but planning to head home next Tuesday. Can't think of anyway this would impact my decision making about that trip!

Jason--what do you know about any protests? The St Maarten newspaper says there have been some protests in Roadtown.

I definitely understand your concern. But I have a good friend coming into VG this Friday - not planning on changing anything. Good to be aware of for sure, but I would not be worried about your trip being impacted

Hi Jason, VG Resident,
Thanks much appreciated. I love the thought of even a tiny amount of less surly at C/I. We are excited and can't wait to get back to VG.

They could off course install Kiosk’s like much of the world. Scan your passport and go! I can get into Israel every time in minutes and it has some of the best security anywhere.

I will say that when we flew in to EIS in February, using the BVI Concierge service made C&I quite painless. We didn’t deal with them at all. Although I prefer to fly direct to VG when the airport is open (which seems to be unpredictable based on our past trips). C&I at the VG airport has never been bad ( but we only go once a year tops, so YMMV).
