Anyone with info on the new location for Jimbos Restaurant? I heard it will be called Jason’s and be near the old location. Possibly the old Toppers location?

I heard it will open in the fall. Location might be next to the Simpson Bay Pharmacy. Can’t remember the name of the restaurant that was there last. Frenchy something?

We quit going to Jimbos when I noticed he was adding the 5% tot to the bill along with the SC. Probably will do the same at new place.

A lot of places add 5% to cover the GOV TOT tax which they pay on total sales. Its not a consumer tax but it gets added all the time many places. Get ready for a lot more taxes on SXM as Gov is desperate for money and business and customer will pay extra . Its not just SXM everywhere prices way up. Don't be surprised if they add tax on liquor and cigarettes , etc etc.

It's been long established that showing that add on TOT is illegal. Supposed to be included in the menu price and not an added line item.

OK, let's get off this topic and move on. IF he institutes the same charge at the new place, then talk about it then.

Jim and investors are opening a new restaurant in what was Saratoga, charthouse, frenchy ludos in Simpson Bay - same parking as the pharmacy. Hopefully it should open by summer. Direct from Jim. And yes it will be called Jason’s and nothing like Jimbos.

kim--what type of food will they be serving?

Jimbo told me when I was last on island, but it's confidential so far. Not Tex-Mex, tho.

We had loved going to Saratoga for many years , even had our Wedding Reception there 35 years ago , however after while the bad lagoon smell from the boats made us stopped going there .

Loved both Saratoga and especially Frenchy Ludo. Hope they can duplicate vibe.

I have some fond memories of some crazy nights at Jimbo's from many years ago.

Saw Jimbo yesterday and coming September .

Hope to visit his new place in November!

Also with special Sea food Bar i.e fresh.
