Normandy is our destination with a few days in Paris on the way out. We are going to try to blog real-time on this trip if connectivity allows. This trip has been a long time bucket list destination and will be a little emotional. We had always planned to do it with our friend, but that will not be the case. Hence, the title of Normandy - A trip long overdue. Follow the link as we visit: The Land of Normans! Just an hour or two away from our adventure to begin. However, to get JFK from Virginia we had a slight detour to Long Island. If our daughter can fit in a trip we would consider starting in Como, she is interested in revisiting Lugano, so that's a convenient home base. We were so close to Venice one trip but ran out of time with a pending train strike, I think that's a must see. We have yet to venture to southern Italy, so that's why all subject to change! Just happy to be able to start talking about travel abroad again!

It brought back memories of the 2 times we visited France & Paris. The first time in 1990 and then in 2018. We were indeed fortunate to visit before both COVID and the tragic fire at Notre Dame.
